West Indies Win by 104 Runs

The West Indies booked their place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup on Sunday with a thumping 104-run victory over Afghanistan in Gros Islet.

Batting first, the West Indies posted their highest total in a men's T20 World Cup match, scoring 218/5 in their 20 overs. Kyle Mayers led the way with 63 off 48 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer smashed 47 off 30.

In reply, Afghanistan were never in the chase and were bowled out for just 114 in 19.5 overs. Naveen-ul-Haq was the only batsman to offer any resistance, scoring 29 off 25 balls.

The victory sees the West Indies finish top of Group B with a perfect 3-0 record. They will now face the runners-up from Group A in the semi-finals.
